I’ve put up a little banner in support of Child’s Play, Penny Arcade’s charity in support of sick and hospitalized children. A wise lady once told me that we should give enough to feel a pinch in order truly understand how blessed we are, and because its the right thing to do. Make sure when you get linked the to the Amazon lists you check out all the hospital options (like Tulane in New Orleans), there are more than those shown on the map.

After all the excitement over Ventrilo release for OS X I remembered that their public server version has a hard coded limit of 8 users. They essentially force you to rent a server to do anything useful! Luckily though, I came across TeamSpeex, an OS X client for Teamspeak without the stupid limit on its public server! So I will be setting up a Teamspeak server on this machine, and I will keep the Ventrilo client installed for when I need it.

Yay! Ventrilo for OS X has been released! This is huge! Ventrilo has become the standard Voice over IP (VoIP) application in the online gaming world. This means I will now be able to chat with other players, we’ll be bale to stay more organized and have more fun!
Zombie Simulation

The Zombie Simulation is pretty self explanitory. Its a simulation of what would happen to a small city if it were infested with zombies. The whole thing is configurable, you can enable soldiers to shoot them and watch the zombie population kept under control, or you can try droping bombs, or just let them run wild!
World of Warcraft

I’ve been playing the World of Warcraft beta for the last two days, and I’m hooked. This game is awesome. I’d never played an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) before, and now I see what I was missing. I have a few different characters but my main guy is a Level 9 Human Paladin. I’m getting pretty strong, but I don’t have the time that some crazy people do. I’ve run into level 30+ players – the beta came out on monday – these guys must just play 24/7.
Anyways, if you haven’t yet, I’d suggest you check this out as its worth the long download. I will be buying it when it comes to the store.
