Thule Sucks

Posted by Andrew

Would you believe that only ONE shop in all of the Upper Valley carries Yakima Rack parts? Everyone else carries Thule, an inferior solution! To top it off, they didn’t even have the part I was looking for (WindJammer)!

New Tires

Posted by Andrew

It looks like I’m going to be changing out the tires on the FJ60 to 33×12.50 BFG All-Terrains. I’ve found a guy in Denim Springs that wants to buy the old mud tires. The BFGs will do much better on snow and ice, and will be much nicer to drive up to New Hampshire on.

Stereo!

I got a stereo all setup and configured in the FJ60. It a Pioneer (Premier) HU, with basicSony speakers, two-way in the backs and three-ways on the front doors. I’ve got a Belkin Auto Charger that plugs into my iPod. Thischarger also plugs into the Multi-CD changer on the HU via an RCA to mini adapter, so I have great sound. The HU is extremely basic but its everything I need. 50W x 4 and Subwoofer support. In the fall when the iPod interface is released by Pioneer I’ll upgrade from the Belkin and have the HU read the song titles and playlists. For now though, I can listen to my iPod on the road without having to use a tape adapter or stupid FM transmitter.

Land Cruiser Pictures

I’ve gotten some pictures of the new ride. Check em’ out here: http://andrewloe.com/gallery/view/wheeling/fj60. Someday when I have time I’ll upload all my pictures and have a nice gallery. Today is not that day.

The day came, I installed Gallery and made an album.
