So I’ve started coding a really sweet news site for sailing. I think that one doesn’t exist, but it should. This site is going to have lots of great features, and initially target college sailors, and then expand to juniors and finally to PHRF and those slow adults. Hopefully it’ll have a huge staff when the 2007 AC comes around :).
Yay! Sailing!
Looks like I’ll finally get to do some of the sailing I wanted to do this summer. This weekend I’m planning on sailing some Laser sailing this weekend in Hyannis, MA and then hopefully I’ll sail BBR (Buzzards Bay Regatta) the following weekend in V-15s.
Wish me luck and for watch for results!
Sailing
I wanted to throw down an update on the summer sailing dealio. The team I was on for the Charles River TR didn’t get in because our registration didn’t make it on time. The coach for MIT was in Charleston at the Youths and didn’t get our registration until the day before the event. I had also planned to sail the Falmouth TR this weekend but that has fallen though because I can’t find a boat. If you know anyone witha V-15 in New England that I can use please tell me! Hopefully I’ll do BBR and maybe some 420 events, but that all remains to be seen.
Rain?
Nothing special going on here in Hanover now. Its been raining off and on for a few days. This morning was pretty fun – ended up going to the bakery when it opened, no sleeping involved.
Happy 4th!
Happy 4th of July! (A few hours late :-P) I’ve been busy getting organized with school and life but I haven’t forgotten about this site. I’m also working on a community site for sailing, I hope to unite all the mailing lists and get some good content going. I am not looking to make money off this project, just for it to be self-sufficient. I will also not be making “Rufus” my cell phone glucose monitor since I flat out do not have the time and motivation for it.
