Summer!

Posted by Andrew

Well I’m back at Dartmouth for the summer. Its going to be a great term with a lot of crazy events coming up (Tubestock!?). Looking to do some team racing this summer as well, currently signed up for the Falmouth regatta on the 10th and the 11th which will be a good time. I’ll probably also do BBR and the other events this summer.

New Tires

Posted by Andrew

It looks like I’m going to be changing out the tires on the FJ60 to 33×12.50 BFG All-Terrains. I’ve found a guy in Denim Springs that wants to buy the old mud tires. The BFGs will do much better on snow and ice, and will be much nicer to drive up to New Hampshire on.

Stereo!

I got a stereo all setup and configured in the FJ60. It a Pioneer (Premier) HU, with basicSony speakers, two-way in the backs and three-ways on the front doors. I’ve got a Belkin Auto Charger that plugs into my iPod. Thischarger also plugs into the Multi-CD changer on the HU via an RCA to mini adapter, so I have great sound. The HU is extremely basic but its everything I need. 50W x 4 and Subwoofer support. In the fall when the iPod interface is released by Pioneer I’ll upgrade from the Belkin and have the HU read the song titles and playlists. For now though, I can listen to my iPod on the road without having to use a tape adapter or stupid FM transmitter.

I’m home for a bit, it will be nice to sit on a couch for a while.

Photo Gallery!

Posted by Andrew

Well since I can’t study right now I figured I should do something productive, so I created a Photo Gallery. This was done with a sweet application called Gallery which is done in PHP. To make the whole package even sweeter I’m using an iPhoto plugin called iPhotoToGallery to export directly to my Gallery installation. The whole system is VERY slick and I hope to post more photos once I get a camera of my own. That is all for now, back to the History Exam.

What do I do?

Posted by Andrew

I am freaking out. I can’t deal. I don’t know whats going on. So I’ll post here…... I have one more answer for my take home History exam and then I’m done. But I can’t write it. I know what to write, I have an outline. I even have notes on each point in my outline. I can’t type it up though. I just can’t make myself do it. DO IT. DOO IT. Wow. So when you are in the situation what do you do? I can’t even think about what I should do.

Some People...

Why do some people just not understand how to work in a library? Its been years since the cell phone was invented – they ALL let you disable the ringer – yet some people still have their phones ring in the utter silence of the stack annexes. Its annoying.

Spanish tomorrow. Psych was today. Test went alright but I could have studied more for the cumulative part. I rocked the 4th hour test though (3 tests during the term and the 4th combined with the final were this morning.) – a nice change from the last two.

I’ll write up a full report on the Nationals in the coming days. I’m still digesting what happened.

For now, its all about Spanish Literature. My final class in the Dartmouth Language Requirement – atleast after this I’ll finally be done with something, a welcomed relief. This is the first time I’ve taken a second class in a department, maybe I should declare it my major….
